Lemonade Lane brings contemporary residential living to the natural landscape of Okanagan Falls, BC.

Designed as a walkable, family-oriented community, the 3.35-acre development takes cues from its Okanagan setting, from mountain views and native landscapes to a material palette that feels warm, simple and connected to place.

The architecture offers a contemporary interpretation of the modern farmhouse, with pitched roofs, board-and-batten cladding, black-framed windows and colourful front doors giving each home its own identity. Native and drought-tolerant planting, winding pathways and connections to the outdoors extend that sense of place throughout the community.

Lewis Farms Catholic K–9 School in Edmonton, Alberta is designed around smaller learning communities that help create a sense of belonging within a school of 905 students.
Delivered through a design-build partnership with AMAN Builders Inc. the two-storey school groups classrooms by age and grade around naturally lit flex spaces and learning stairs, creating more identifiable environments for students while supporting different ways to learn and gather.
At the heart of the school, the Learning Commons forms a central spine connecting these communities with shared spaces for music, food studies, recreation, collaboration, and informal learning.
The school also connects directly to established green space, mature trees, and a community soccer pitch, extending opportunities for learning and activity beyond the building.

A landmark moment for North American infrastructure: the Gordie Howe International Bridge is now open.

Spanning the Detroit River between Windsor and Detroit, this $6.4 billion project features an 853-metre cable-stayed main span, the longest in North America. It creates a new gateway at one of the continent’s most important trade corridors, where approximately 30% of Canada–U.S. commercial traffic moves each year.
 
Kasian is proud to have served as Planning, Design and Compliance Architect, having shaped the Canadian Port of Entry and the overall architectural vision on both sides of the border.
 
Designed around the idea of a “calm welcome,” the Canadian Port of Entry brings together natural light, locally inspired materials, landscape and public art to create a thoughtful arrival experience. The project also connects to the 28,000 km Trans Canada Trail, creating its first international crossing.
 
We’re proud to have contributed to this once-in-a-generation project alongside Parsons and Morrison Hershfield/Stantec, and to see a new connection between communities, people and places come to life.
 
We had the opportunity to once again cross the bridge as soon as it was formally opened .
