Kitchens see a lot of traffic in a family's day-to-day routine, so its important to look at both function and form when re-designing. For the family at Modern Shaughnessy, that meant setting them up for easy and efficient hosting in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Natural wood cabinets and cozy lighting created a great base for the family to bring in personal touches like pops of colour through appliances and crockery. ⁠

With a fifteen foot long kitchen island and bi-folding doors leading to the rear patio space, this kitchen at Modern Shaughnessy was made for entertaining. The owners wanted to be able to host their friends and extended families, and we helped them achieve this with a quiet sophistication and lots of open space.⁠

We're so excited to share this beautiful ⁠mosaic installation at Marpole!⁠
⁠
Through close collaboration, did an amazing job of translating large scale artwork on paper that included collage, oil bar, charcoal, acrylic washes, and spray paint to a glass-tiled feature wall in this Marpole home's extensive backyard. They rose to the challenge, capturing the large brush strokes and bright colours of Bobbie's work, and then meticulously installed each part by hand.⁠

Having this stunning work of art next to the clients' pool adds character and is going to be inspiring when the sun hits it.⁠

The most compelling discoveries often arrive quietly. Between the embroidered constellations and geometric reliefs, woven metallics and sculptural lighting — a clearer vision of contemporary materiality emerges. Less about trends, more about timelessness. Less about statement, more about substance.⁠
⁠
The direction is clear: earthy palettes grounded by brushed-metal accents. Organic geometries. A focus on craft and considered application.⁠
