Rebar Markings 101

Ever wondered what those letters and numbers rolled into rebar actually mean? Here’s the quick breakdown:

• Main ribs = grip for concrete
• Grade lines = strength (1 line = Grade 60, etc.)
• Mill symbol = manufacturer
• Bar size = diameter ( #11 = 1⅜”)
• Grade mark = yield strength (60 = 60,000 psi)

These markings ensure the right rebar goes in every pour — traceability and quality you can trust.
