Crowning a National Historic Landmark 🏛️✨

Originally completed in 1789, the iconic dome of the Maryland State House in Annapolis is an architectural masterpiece. Surmounting the highest point in the city, it stands as an enduring symbol of early American civic pride. 🇺🇸

When MCWB Architects spearheaded the comprehensive restoration of this historic treasure, master-level craftsmanship and authentic material selection were non-negotiable. 💯

We are honored that North Country Slate was chosen to supply the natural slate shingles, expertly installed across the dome elements and transition roofs by the master craftspeople at The Durable Slate Company (The Durable Slate Company). Natural slate ensures this landmark remain protected for generations to come! 🔨
