These homeowners had lived in this house for 30 years, but they always dreamed of moving their small, cramped kitchen to the other side of the house.

To make it happen, we removed two load-bearing walls, creating an open layout with a massive island where they can gather with their kids and grandkids.

One of the biggest challenges? There was an 8-foot bay window right where the new kitchen needed to be. We replaced it with a perfectly placed 20x30 window above the sink, matched the existing brick, installed new soffits, and blended everything seamlessly.

You’d never know there was ever a bay window there—and that’s exactly the point. Now they have the bright, open, functional kitchen they’ve dreamed about for years.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

Some before-and-afters speak for themselves.

This kitchen went from dark, closed off, and short on storage to a bright, welcoming space designed for everyday life.

With custom cabinetry, built-in storage solutions, an apron sink, upgraded finishes, and a completely reimagined layout, this renovation gave the homeowners a space that's as practical as it is beautiful.

Every project starts with a conversation about how you want your home to work—and ends with a space built around your lifestyle.

"We would absolutely hire Built to Last again."

That's the kind of feedback we strive for on every project.

Thank you, Matt, for your kind words and for trusting us with your basement renovation. Knowing your family now has a space to enjoy together is exactly why we love what we do.

Sometimes the best part of a renovation isn’t something you planned.

When we opened up this space, we uncovered an issue left behind from a previous build. Instead of covering it up, we brought the homeowner into the conversation, explained the options, and found a solution together.

The result? A beautiful exposed beam that’s now one of their favourite features in the entire home.

That’s what renovations are all about—turning challenges into opportunities.
