FOLLOW us & SHARE important tips for hiring a professional painter or contractor:

Verify insurance! Ask for a current certificate of commercial general liability insurance. Don't simply ask:"Are you insured?"
Ask:
"Could you please provide your current certificate of insurance?"
For commercial work, many clients expect substantial liability coverage.
A commonly cited benchmark is $2 million or more, depending on the project and contract requirements.

Insurance matters because accidents happen. A painter can:
- Spill paint on expensive flooring.
- Damage cabinetry.
- Break a window.
- Damage landscaping.
- Fall from a ladder.
- Cause water damage while preparing a surface.
- Injure someone on site.

You don't want to discover after the fact that the "insured painter" meant his truck had insurance.

Another happy customer...
"...Robert and his team delivered as promised, no gimmicks or hassles. We’re both humbled by the results. They also ended up repairing our back yard fence and completing touch ups to the front of our property at very reasonable rates. We would highly recommend calling Marleau’s for any of your home renovations."

Check their reviews intelligently, Don't just look at the star rating.
Read the 2-, 3-, and 4-star reviews.

5-star reviews tell you what happens when everything goes well.
Lower reviews tell you how the company behaves when something goes wrong.
Look for repeated comments about:
- Poor preparation
- Missed deadlines
- Poor communication
- Mess
- Damage
- Surprise charges
- Paint failures
- Crews changing halfway through
- Difficulty getting warranty work
- Unreturned calls

Also look at how the company responds to negative reviews.
A professional response is usually calm, factual and solution-oriented.
A response attacking the customer is a giant flashing warning sign. 🚩
