🎉 WE’RE IN THE SEMI-FINALS! 🎉

The Tumbler Ridge UNESCO Global Geopark has made it to the Northern semi-finals of CBC’s search for B.C.’s Best Roadside Attraction!

Now, we may have to respectfully point out that we’re not just a roadside attraction… we’re a destination experience! 😉🏔️🦖🌲

But whatever you call us, we’re proud to be representing Tumbler Ridge and Northeast B.C., and now we need your help!

⛺️Have you ever wanted to learn how to Boot It In The Back Country?⛺️

Well, lucky for you, on Friday August 14th and Saturday August 15th the Tumbler Ridge UNESCO Global Geopark is running an educational course on some basic survival strategies for the backcountry.🌲🌳

We will go over making a basic shelter you can build out of debris from the forest floor, having campfires out in the woods, as well as cooking over those campfires with more than just weiner sticks! 🔥🍔🥓

Firesmart BC will also have a presentation during our course teaching you some campfire safety such as, where to build them, the do's and don'ts, and how to extinguish them properly! 🧯

🥾August 14th from 1 PM to 4 PM and 15th from 1 PM to 3 PM
