Our page has grown over the last few months, so we thought it might be helpful to let everyone know a bit of what we do here at Urban Roots!

From our Greenhouse & Nursery, to our Landscape Maintenance, Design & Install services - we’re proud to help beautify residential, commercial, and municipal properties across the county. 🌱

Urban Roots is your first choice for local Tree Care Specialists. With 2 certified arborists on staff, we can assist with any of your tree care needs from residential pruning or removal, to pre-construction consultation & risk assessment. Municipalities could also benefit from our arborists’ experience in Urban Forestry Management & Planning - send us a message for more information! 🌳

🌱 Find us at the Climate Summit again today until 3:30pm! We have lots of information and takeaways for your tree care needs or concerns. Taking down a tree out of fear, or ‘just because’ is not always the answer - we need trees! Come see us to find out ways you can mitigate removal, and extend the life and enjoyment of your trees.

🌳 Did you know there is funding available for Municipalities’ Urban Forests through the Green Municipal Fund? Urban Roots can help!

🌱 Municipalities can receive up to $175,000, which covers up to 80% of costs associated with things like an Urban Forest Master Plan, Tree Inventory, and Urban Forest Assessment & Analysis. Our certified arborists are experienced in these processes, and have worked with Municipalities across the province on their Urban Forests. We can even apply for the funding on your behalf!

🌳 Check out our new 65’ Aerial Truck! A great addition to the fleet, and great work by Auto Trim Signs New Glasgow getting it ready for us!

Hard to miss this one rolling through town 🌳🚛

We recently finished up this Urban Roots bucket truck with bold graphics, oversized lettering, and clean branding designed to stand out on the road and on the job site.

Large service trucks like this are moving billboards, so readability matters. The goal is simple: make it easy to know who you are and what you do from a distance.

The Exhibitor Showcase will be held both days in the Sobeys Arena at the Pictou County Wellness Centre. It is free and open to the public, with everyone welcome to attend. Throughout the day there will be art activities, as well as a Songs for the Earth performance including Janice and Andrew Alcorn, Soul Sisters, and the Northumberland High School Choir on Saturday, May 30 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.
