This customer is getting prepared for their new hot tub! The base for the concrete has been completed. To stay up to date with the new electrical code, we've installed a bonding loop around the perimeter of the hot tub. This will improve safety for the users of the tub. More to come on this project later.

It's been a busy two weeks here at R. Vout Electric. So many calls and jobs we have attended, Trying to make time for social media is challenging. Nevertheless we will try and keep posting as much as we can. Here are some photos from a bathroom renovation in progress. Baseboard heater Install for a customer out in the county. The customer had no form of heating in the room in her basement, and recently had a renovation done. Luckily the electrical panel was located in the same room, and we were able to easily fish a new circuit in for her new heaters. The other heater was connected with Wiremold, so not to cause any damage to the walls. Now they will be nice and toasty warm when the weather becomes cooler.

Customer called about a flashing light issue. Upon inspection, improperly connected aluminum and copper wiring was found, creating a serious fire hazard. The poor connection caused overheating and melted wires/connectors.
The issue was safely corrected and repaired.

While installing a dimmer switch for a recent customer, we discovered that the electrical switch box had been completely filled with spray foam insulation. Although spray foam is typically non-conductive once cured, it can trap heat around electrical wiring that would normally dissipate, potentially creating a fire hazard.

The spray foam was carefully removed from the box to ensure the wiring could safely ventilate heat, and the new dimmer switch was then properly installed.
