This week at the DKI Canada Ltd. EVOLVE 2026 Conference and AGM in Toronto, our team had the opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the country, learn from outstanding speakers, and celebrate the people helping shape the future of our industry.

One of the most memorable moments of the week came at the DKI Canada Awards Gala, where Mike Foley and DKI - York Region were honoured with the prestigious 2026 DKI Canada Chairman’s Award.

The Chairman’s Award is one of the highest recognitions within the DKI Canada network. It is presented to individuals who make exceptional contributions to the organization, its Members, and the restoration industry as a whole.

This award reflects a commitment to excellence within their own business, dedication to the success of the DKI Canada membership, support for education and professional development, involvement in industry initiatives, and meaningful contributions that help strengthen and advance the DKI Canada organization.

Anyone who knows Mike understands how deserving this recognition truly is. His leadership, willingness to share knowledge, and commitment to helping others succeed have had a lasting impact on countless Members across the network.

While Mike accepted the award, achievements like this are never accomplished alone. We want to recognize and thank our incredible team at DKI - York Region. Your hard work, professionalism, and commitment to excellence every day create the foundation that makes recognitions like this possible.

Today, DKI - York Region was proud to celebrate McHappy Day in support of Ronald McDonald House Canada, a cause that means so much to all of us as a National Mission Partner.

This is more than just a day. It’s families staying close during the hardest moments of their lives. It’s support when it’s needed most. It’s a community coming together to make a real difference, one small act at a time.

From serving smiles to showing up with purpose, today was about giving back and standing behind something bigger than ourselves. We’re proud to be part of a network that believes in supporting not just properties, but people ❤️
