Not all Ipe is the same. Under one name you get different species and different grades, and what some suppliers call “premium,” we call what it actually is B-Grade. A little more colour variation, the odd insect mark or imperfection on one face, and often a perfectly clean board once you flip it.

How long does a deck project actually take? ⏱️

A good rule of thumb for a pro builder is about one work hour per square foot. So a 100 sq ft deck runs roughly 100 work hours, while an 800 sq ft deck can reach 800. Complexity, design, and materials all shift that number.
