🐾 Mission Accomplished: A Family Reunited

The pitter-patter in the attic turned out to be a full house! Today I safely removed a mama raccoon and her four newborns, only a few days old, from a customer's attic.
Instead of a stressful relocation, we used a humane reunion strategy. We placed the babies in a heated "reunion box" on the roof to keep them warm and protected. This gives Mama the chance to come back and move them on her own terms.

The Update: The customer’s camera confirmed that Mama is already back in the box, caring for her kits! Over the next few hours, she’ll pick them up one by one and transport them to a secondary den site she already has scouted out.

Safe, professional, and mama-approved. 🦝✨

Spring 2026 is officially here! 🌸 🦝

​We just pulled the first raccoon family of the season out of this cozy attic. Mom found a warm spot to nest, but it was time for them to move on. These little kits are the first of many we’ll likely see this month.

Out they go! 👋 This latest project involved a raccoon family making themselves a bit too comfortable in a residential attic.
​We used a humane one-way door system to safely evict the animals. As you can see, the priority is securing the primary entry with the exit door, then immediately fortifying all the other vulnerable areas with durable steel.

​ Raccoons are incredibly strong and will rip through nearly any material to get back to their young. That’s why we use only commercial-grade, heavy-duty materials for exclusion. This temporary repair protects the home from further damage and weather until the final, permanent seal can be made.

​One of the questions we get asked most often is: "How did the squirrel even get in there?"
​The truth is, squirrels are incredible climbers and chewers. They don't need a huge hole—just a weak spot they can exploit! They often target:
​Roof Vents & Exhaust Fans: These plastic or metal covers can be chewed through or pushed aside.
​Soffit and Fascia Gaps: Where the roof meets the wall, small gaps from wear or improper sealing are an open invitation.
​Roof Valleys: Like the one in this video, the seams and edges of a roof's valley are often a point of weakness where materials meet, giving them leverage to chew or find an existing entry point.
