🌱 Construction Start | 126 kW Solar | Welland, ON

We’ve begun the construction phase of a 126 kW rooftop solar system for a greenhouse operation in Welland, ON.

Following completed site, structural, and electrical assessments, the project is now progressing toward implementation, designed to generate 140,600 kWh annually, offsetting 61% of the facility’s electricity use.

For greenhouse operators, energy is one of the largest operating costs. Solar provides a practical way to:

• Stabilize long-term electricity costs
• Reduce exposure to peak pricing
• Align energy production with daytime growing cycles

Built with 252 Thornova Solar panels, Fronius inverters, and TerraGen + S5 racking, this system is engineered for performance without disrupting operations.

Not all solar systems are designed the same way.

Some are optimized to export electricity to the grid. Others are designed to displace electricity that a facility is already using in real time. This is called load displacement.

For many commercial and industrial facilities, load displacement is where the strongest financial value comes from. It reduces the electricity you purchase at the moment you are consuming it.

Understanding how and when your facility uses electricity is what determines which approach makes sense.

A new solar project is underway for a precision metal casting facility in Mississauga, delivering certified aluminum and zinc alloy components to Canada’s industrial sector.

Our team has completed the structural, roofing, and electrical assessments and is now preparing the Connection Impact Assessment (CIA) submission to move toward construction.

☀️ Designed with 425 Thornova Solar panels, Solis inverters, and Terragen racking, the 269.4 kW system will generate 305,762 kWh annually, offsetting over 31% of the facility’s electricity consumption.
