As Canada faces some of its worst air quality in years, we're once again confronting what wildfires mean for our health, and our future.

Wildfire smoke contains dangerous fine particulate matter (PM2.5), which can travel deep into the lungs and even enter the bloodstream.

Exposure is linked to asthma attacks, cardiovascular disease, respiratory illness, and even certain cancers. Between 2020 and 2024, wildfire smoke was responsible for 1,400 deaths each year in Canada.

Poor air quality affects everyone, but not equally. Children, older adults, people with heart or lung disease, outdoor workers, and those with existing health conditions face the greatest risks.

A condenser on the roof? Not something you see every day, but when it comes to finding the right solution, there’s always a way!

For this project, we installed two mini-split systems, one in the main bedroom and another in the home office, to help keep these spaces comfortable all summer long. With limited ground space available, we custom-built a rooftop platform and mounted the condenser on the roof, then carefully connected both indoor head units to create a clean, efficient, and safe setup.

This job took some extra planning and a lot of hard work, especially in the heat, but our team delivered a professional installation from start to finish. We’re proud of the attention to detail that went into every step of this project.
