Our Story

Modular Home Additions was started 20 years ago in Toronto by an architect and an engineer. As they were starting their own families, they understood wanting to grow their homes to stay in their neighbourhoods instead of constantly buying and moving, Putting their heads and experiences together, they started creatively designing homes of all sizes and building them.

In today’s market, buying a new home in the GTA is no longer as easily affordable. Moving is inconvenient and expensive. Purchasing a $600,000 home can cost approximately $30,000 in real estate fees, $17,000 in legal fees, land transfer tax and $2,200 in moving expenses. That's $49,200 spent just for the privilege of moving. That is enough for a full size kitchen with granite counters, all appliances and all bathrooms.
