This is an opportunity for students ask questions, share ideas, and get to know profs and instructors in a relaxed setting.

All journalism students are welcome! Come by, bring your questions and enjoy the conversation!

SAGM is tomorrow!!

Make sure to drop by one of our two sessions if you have any issues or concerns that you’d like to address about or within the journalism program. There’s a student-only portion from 3-4pm and a student and faculty portion from 4-5pm.

Issues up at SAGM will be discussed with faculty and we will try our best to find a solution.

Our Semi-Annual General Meeting (SAGM) is next week in RCC 202. We’ll start with the student only portion from 3-4pm and then faculty will be invited from 4-5pm.

Have any issues or concerns with the journalism program? Come to SAGM so we can address them. All J-School students are welcome to attend, and we try our best to ensure it’s a safe and inclusive environment for everyone to share their issues and questions.

Everything brought up at the SAGM will then be discussed with faculty and everyone will try their best to find a solution.

We look forward to seeing you all there after reading week!

The JCU is creating a showcase of unpublished J-School work!

Using the link in our bio, send us your favourite work that you (or someone else) made this year.

Please include either the video, audio, or text of your story in your submission. SUBMIT by the 17th. Any work submitted must be written this year, for class, and unpublished (if it was published somewhere operated by the School of Journalism ie; OTR or TDot, it is still eligible for nomination BUT anything for CanCulture, the Eyeopener, or written for class but published externally is not)

Our Halloween Decor Making event is happening TOMORROW 👻

Make sure to come by The Venn in the RCC from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.!! We’ll be painting pumpkins, creating friendship bracelets and making crafts! 🎨 🎃
