Local 1891 Business Representative Christian Cedeno was on site at the new Trillium Health Centre in Etobicoke, visiting Local 1891 members Gurpreet Singh and Gagandeep Singh, who are working with F J Construction.

Gurpreet and Gagandeep are currently applying intumescent fire-protective coating throughout the building. It's an important part of the fire protection system that helps enhance the safety and integrity of the structure.

It’s always great to visit our members on the job, see their skilled work firsthand, and recognize the important role Local 1891 members play in building safer communities across the GTA.

Requirements:
✔ Proven abrasive blasting experience is a must
✔ Industrial, bridge, tank or structural steel experience is preferred
✔ Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
✔ Ability to work at heights and in demanding industrial environments and conditions
✔ Must have a valid driver's license and means of transportation
✔ Opportunities for overtime

This past Sunday was the Butterfly Festival in Windsor.

IUPAT Local 1494's new office is right next door to a butterfly pollinator park. The park is maintained by retired painter and butterfly enthusiast Leo Sylvestri.

Our office staff and volunteers decorated the patio and hosted butterfly related crafts for the kids, as well as gave out plant seeds for people to start their own butterfly gardens.
