Hey everyone! We are participating in the Greenbuild International Conference + Expo, taking place October 20-23 at the Javits Center in New York City.

Cory Fry, our Sales Director, will speak twice on the expo floor. Each session runs 20 minutes on Wednesday, October 21, and Thursday, October 22. He’ll cover how Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) turn the building envelope into an energy-generating asset.

This year’s Greenbuild theme centers on investment, new development, and the retrofitting of existing buildings. That makes it a fitting setting for a conversation about facades that pay for themselves over time.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Winnipeg for the Market Lands meet and greet.

It was a great opportunity to see our latest BIPV installation up close and talk through what makes this project distinctive. Market Lands chose to leave the solar cells exposed within the facade, a deliberate design decision that puts the building's energy generation on full display rather than concealing it, celebrating the solar aspect as part of the architecture itself.

Mitrex is heading to Montréal for the CECC Annual Community Energy Forum, taking place October 8 to 9 at Concordia University.

Carter Shieck, Mitrex Business Development & Architectural Representative, will be attending to connect with renewable energy co-operatives, Indigenous community leaders, municipalities, and utilities on how Building-Integrated Photovoltaics can support community-owned energy projects.

Hosted by Community Energy Cooperative Canada, the bilingual forum covers financing models, co-operative governance, policy developments, and community ownership pathways. The event is hybrid, with both in-person and virtual registration available.
