Most people make the same mistake when using a squeegee: pulling it straight down the glass.

Professional window cleaners use a fanning technique instead. By moving the squeegee continuously across the glass, you control the water and push it toward the edge without leaving streaks between each pass.

It takes some practice, but once you get the movement right, window cleaning becomes much faster and cleaner.

Streak-free windows are more about technique than how much cleaner you use.

Start by properly wetting and scrubbing the glass to loosen dirt and buildup. Then use a squeegee in smooth, controlled passes, keeping consistent contact with the glass so you don’t leave water or streaks behind.

Finish by detailing the edges and you’re left with glass that almost disappears.

Avoiding the ladder doesn’t make the debris in your gutters disappear.

This downspout was packed with buildup that stopped water from draining properly. We opened the bottom section, cleared out the blockage, then flushed the system with a hose to make sure water could flow freely again.

If you’re not comfortable working on a ladder, don’t risk it. Have the gutters cleaned before a small blockage turns into a much bigger water problem.
