🇨🇦 Toronto & GTA homeowners: a strong roof starts beneath the shingles.

Canadian weather brings snow, ice, heavy rain and summer heat. At Karam Roofing & Associates, every layer has a purpose:

✅ Start with solid wood: Remove all old shingles, inspect the roof decking and replace damaged plywood.

✅ Protect vulnerable areas: Install ice & water shield along the eaves, in valleys and around roof openings to help prevent leaks from backed-up meltwater.

✅ Cover the entire roof deck: Protect the remaining wood with synthetic roofing underlayment for an extra layer of water resistance beneath the shingles.

✅ Protect the edges: Install drip edge around the roof to direct runoff away from exposed wood.

✅ Pay attention to the details: Install new metal vents and plumbing vent flashings, check chimney and skylight flashing, and assess attic ventilation to help manage heat and moisture.

✅ Finish properly: Install quality BP or CertainTeed Landmark shingles, starter strips and ridge caps according to manufacturer instructions.
