Considering Chantilly Lace for your home? See what it looks like beyond the paint swatch. 🤍

This transformation started with patched walls, protected floors, and plenty of preparation. Then Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace OC-65 brought a fresh look to the rooms and curved staircase, with warm wood adding contrast.

And just when you think it’s all white… a soft green accent room adds a little personality. 🌿

WHITE TO BLACK 🖤 Would you paint your home’s exterior this colour?

We recently transformed this home by taking the exterior details from white to a bold, modern black.

❓ What did we paint?
The eavestroughs, fascia, windows, and garage door.

❓ What paint did we use?
Benjamin Moore Element Guard, designed for exterior surfaces and changing Canadian weather.

❓ Can white eavestroughs and windows be painted black?
Yes — with the right surface preparation, primers where required, and professional exterior coatings, these surfaces can be completely transformed.

❓ Does painting exterior details black make a difference?
Absolutely. Instead of replacing everything, a strategic colour change can give the entire house a much more modern and updated appearance.

Looking for professional exterior painting in Toronto, Durham Region or the GTA? Finest Painters specializes in exterior house painting and complete colour transformations.

This is what can happen when exterior doors are painted without the proper preparation.

The homeowners had recently hired someone to paint their doors and frames, but the wrong type of paint was applied without properly sanding and priming the existing factory-finished surfaces. The coating did not bond correctly, leaving an uneven finish with visible lines, poor coverage and areas that could easily fail.

They contacted Finest Painters to correct the work properly.

Our team thoroughly sanded the doors and frames using our dust-controlled sanding system, prepared the difficult surfaces with the appropriate bonding primer and then applied the correct durable finish coating. This was not simply another coat of paint—the failed application had to be corrected from the foundation.

The final result is a smooth, uniform and professional finish that complements the home and is properly prepared for long-term durability.

The lesson? Paint is only as good as the surface underneath it.

This older three-storey building in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood needed much more than a fresh coat of paint. The exterior woodwork had extensive peeling, cracking and weather damage, requiring detailed scraping, surface preparation, repairs, priming and professional exterior painting.

Because of the building’s height and location, our team coordinated a City of Toronto permit, rented an articulated boom lift and maintained a protected work area around the property. The project stretched across several weeks as rain and changing weather repeatedly affected our schedule—but exterior painting should never be rushed when conditions are not right.

The result is a cleaner, brighter and better-protected exterior that preserves the character of this distinctive Toronto building.

What do you think of the transformation—BEFORE or AFTER?

Graffiti problem solved ✅

The City of Toronto required this local restaurant to repaint the back exterior wall, so our team stepped in to properly prime and paint the surface for a clean, professional finish.
