ELEVATOR TO THE TOP!!!

It was a pleasure to work on this project. The homeowner demonstrated exceptional taste and collaborated closely with a talented designer, with whom I also had the opportunity to work throughout the process.

The project began in the manner of many of our engagements: I was retained to complete the interior trim and door installations—my area of specialization and the foundation of my work as a finish carpenter.

However, as the work progressed and the client experienced the level of craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail we bring to each home, the scope of the vision expanded.

New concepts began to take shape, including custom wall panelling, coffered ceilings, accent walls, fireplace mantles, flutted walls , built-in cabinetry, floating shelves, and architectural details designed specifically for the space.

By the conclusion of the project, what had begun as a trim and door installation had evolved into something substantially greater than originally envisioned. To everyone’s satisfaction, it proved to be a worthwhile investment.

Because this is more than material applied to a wall.

It is craftsmanship.
It is beauty.
It is art.

And I am privileged to serve as an instrument in its creation.

I remain sincerely grateful for the trust, collaboration, and opportunity to bring these visions to life.

Meanwhile, back at our project in Scarborough, the designer and I collaborated to create this beautiful custom finish—cladding the underside of the staircase in oak to complement the elegance and character of this magnificent home.

It’s details like these that transform a space. Through thoughtful design, precision craftsmanship, and collaboration, we continue to bring our clients’ visions to life, one detail at a time.

There are moments in life when you have to make a decision—to take a stand, finish what you started, and put everything on the line.

Moments when there is no turning back. When the only way forward is through.

It becomes a test of strength, discipline, courage, and determination. A moment when you discover what you’re truly made of.

In moments like these, I remind myself to stand strong, trust the process, and give it everything I’ve got.

No excuses. No surrender. Finish what you started.

It’s an honour to be here. 🙏🏼

It’s always such a delight to return to a completed project and see the final result. There’s something incredible about witnessing how all the individual components of construction come together to transform a house into a home.

It gives me great pride and pleasure to be a part of that process as a Finish Carpenter—adding the details, craftsmanship, and character that ultimately adorn the home.

This beautiful home was brought together by Stratas Design Build, one of the finest home builders in Southern Ontario.

I want to give a special shout-out and heartfelt acknowledgment to Stratas Design Build | Toronto for always taking care of me and making me feel like part of the family. With such a great team, everything is approached with professionalism, care, and attention to detail—and, most importantly, gets done properly and on time.

Andy, thank you for the many opportunities you continue to give me. I truly appreciate your trust, your support, and the opportunity to contribute to your projects.

It’s always a pleasure to be part of the team.

Self-mastery is achieved through daily practice, constant reflection, and absolute discipline.

I work side-by-side with the people in my circle, and I strive to inspire those around me to become better every day—not to compete, not to judge, but to encourage self-betterment and the pursuit of becoming better than the person we were yesterday.

We all make mistakes. That is part of being human. What truly matters is what we do after the mistake is made—how we learn, how we adjust, and how we move forward.

One thing is certain: every challenge comes with difficult choices. Through it all, we must remain honourable in our words and committed to our promises. We must continue to provide the highest level of quality and service we are capable of delivering.

When we give our best, our customers recognize it. Their continued trust, appreciation, referrals, and support are a reflection of the work we put in every day. For that, we are truly grateful.

At Imperial Trim Carpentry, we will continue to show up, put in the work, honour our commitments, and deliver craftsmanship with purpose.

A man is only as good as his word—and ultimately, his actions.

Success requires 100% dedication, 24/7.

This year has been particularly challenging for many different reasons, but through it all, I remain grateful. I thank God, my family, my team, and even myself for finding the strength, discipline, and perseverance required to keep pushing forward.

We’re still here.
We’re still standing.
And we’re still at your service.

At Imperial Trim Carpentry, we believe every vision deserves to be brought to life with precision, craftsmanship, and passion.

Whatever your finish carpentry vision may be, let us know how we can help turn it into reality.

On today’s episode of Crossing the Finish Line with Imperial Trim Carpentry, we find ourselves once again in “the Beaches” neighborhood of beautiful Scarborough in Southern Ontario, where long-standing friendships, trusted partnerships, and a shared passion for exceptional craftsmanship have brought us to this incredible new build.

Today, we’re working at the framing stage, installing the pocket door tracks well before the walls are closed in. By taking care of these details early, we set the project up for a much smoother and more efficient finish later on. Once the trim stage arrives, I’ll be able to return and properly finish the openings and install the doors into their pockets with precision.

One of the things I truly enjoy about being on a construction site during the framing stage is the opportunity to see what’s happening behind the walls. Every stage of construction teaches me something new, expands my knowledge, and ultimately adds more value to the craftsmanship and service I provide.

After many years in this trade, I’ve learned that exceptional finish carpentry isn’t only about what you see—it’s also about understanding what’s happening beneath the surface and preparing for what comes next.

At Imperial Trim Carpentry, we believe in preparation, precision, collaboration, and always putting the customer first.

From framing to the final finish, we’re here for all your carpentry needs.

between projects, I’m making the best of the time by staying busy and continuing to do what I love—carpentry.

I often lend my skills to fellow carpenters and contractors who need an extra hand, especially when a project presents a difficult challenge. Many times, I’m called upon when a particular detail requires experience, precision, creativity, and a solution outside the ordinary.

When contractors or homeowners come to me with a problem, I always tell them the same thing:

I don’t believe in problems. I only believe in challenges waiting for the right solution.

A special shoutout to Matthew McErlean #
for giving me the opportunity to contribute to his project and put my skills to work. It was a pleasure to be part of the team and help bring the project one step closer to completion.

I remain a student of the game. There is always something new to learn, another technique to master, and another opportunity to improve. My goal is simple: keep learning, keep creating, and always make myself of service.

Thank you once again for the opportunity. It is truly my pleasure.
