Lamine Yamal is one of football's brightest young stars, but behind his success is the love and sacrifice of his mother, Sheila Ebana.
Born in Bata, Equatorial Guinea, Sheila moved to Spain as a teenager to build a better future. She later became a mother to Lamine Yamal. Although she and Yamal's father, Mounir Nasraoui, separated when Lamine was just three years old, both parents remained an important part of his life.
Life was not easy for Sheila. She worked as a waitress and cook at a McDonald's in Mataró to support her family. When she realized her son had a passion for football, she made another big sacrifice. She requested a transfer to a McDonald's in Granollers so Lamine could play for CF La Torreta, the local club where he began his football journey at the age of four.
Sheila worked long hours and faced financial challenges, but she never stopped supporting her son. She believed in his dream and did everything she could to help him succeed.
Lamine has often spoken about how much his mother means to him. He once said, "I never lost respect for my mother. She's the one who always speaks, and when my mother speaks, everyone listens."
As Lamine's career has grown, many fans have also come to know his mother. Today, Sheila has built a large following on social media, where she often shares moments with Lamine and his younger half-brother, Keyne.
Behind one of football's biggest young stars is a mother whose hard work, love, and sacrifices helped make his dream possible.
