We’re excited to share the settlement approval by the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) for the Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment supporting a high-rise residential development at 162–182 Norfolk Avenue.

The revised proposal includes 262 residential units across two buildings of 11 and 14 storeys, connected by a four-storey podium, along with 552 m² of parkland forming an extension to the existing Essex Parkette. Proud to have worked on this project alongside our client, the consulting team, and the Planning and Urban Design staff at the City of Richmond Hill, supporting the City’s efforts to respond to growing housing demand.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to bringing this project forward, including our MBTW Urban Design team for their work throughout the project, with special recognition to Jasna Sehovic and Dan Ridgeway for helping lead the project through discussions with City staff and supporting the team in reaching a settlement.

Team MBTW was back on the court for the SickKids Heat Wave Volleyball Tournament, bringing the energy, teamwork, and a little friendly competition. Always grateful to come together for such an incredible cause and support the amazing work SickKids does.

⛳️ A day on the green with the MBTW team!

We were proud to attend OALA Golf Day for a great day of golf, networking, and connecting with colleagues across the landscape architecture community.

Golf is also an important part of what we do at MBTW, with our Greenfields team bringing expertise in golf course design and development. It was a great opportunity to get out on the course, enjoy the day, and spend time with others in the industry. Thank you to OALA for hosting such a fantastic event!

Milestones like these are the result of collaboration.

We're proud to celebrate our colleagues Jasna Sehović and Dan Ridgeway, who represented MBTW Group as part of the consultant team and provided expert Urban Design testimony to the Ontario Land Tribunal which has approved in principle the mixed-use development at 2300 John Street in Markham.

The project will deliver 642 new homes alongside commercial space, helping support a growing and connected community.

Celebrating the grand opening of Sixteen Mile Sports Complex! 🎉

MBTW is proud to have led the planning and design of this vibrant community destination, featuring sports fields, a cricket ground, skateboard park, pump track, playground, splash pad, trails, and gathering spaces designed for all ages and abilities.

What a great time at this year’s CSLA Congress in Halifax! 🌊

We were proud to connect with colleagues, industry leaders, and partners from across the country, sharing ideas and exploring the future of landscape architecture together. It was also wonderful to support the Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation (LACF) and take part in the fundraiser, helping advance initiatives that strengthen and promote the profession across Canada. Congratulations to LACF on achieving their Congress fundraising target of $120K and we encourage people to continue to donate to LACF in support of the profession

Always a rewarding experience getting out together, giving back to the community, and doing our part for a cleaner city This year’s cleanup around our office and through the Don River Valley Park came with the usual surprises—there’s always something unexpected along the way 👀. Every year is a reminder that small efforts, done together, really add up 💪🌱.
