MEET THE TEAM — DAVE 👷

The man. The myth. The legend. Dave!

Dave is Empire’s dump truck driver and has been with us since the very first day we opened our doors. At this point, he’s much more like family than an employee. ❤️

Dave makes sure our asphalt gets to the job site safely and on time — even if he takes the scenic route every now and then — while also sharing his incredible wealth of knowledge and experience with everyone coming into the asphalt industry.

With years of experience working in the asphalt field worldwide, Dave is truly a walking, talking book of knowledge. If you ever have a question about asphalt or who lives on the same street we are working on Dave will have an answer — even if you didn’t ask him.

And if you’re doing something wrong, you can bet Dave will be the first one to let you know, He takes tremendous pride in his work and is a true perfectionist when it comes to getting the job done right.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Dave as part of the Empire team. His experience, dedication, and willingness to share his knowledge and help others make him an invaluable part of what we do.

Thanks for everything you do, Dave! Empire wouldn’t be what it is without you . 🖤

MEET THE TEAM — ANDY 👷

Meet Andy, our float truck driver!

Andy plays an important role on our crew, making sure our equipment gets to the job site safely and on time, while also keeping the asphalt moving when and where we need it.

Safety is always his first priority, and Andy is an excellent, dependable driver who takes pride in doing the job right.

But there’s more to Andy than just driving a truck! As a former engineer, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a natural ability to problem-solve. When something doesn’t go according to plan, Andy is often the guy coming up with a solution. 🔧

Whether he’s hauling equipment, delivering asphalt, or figuring out how to fix a problem the rest of us are scratching our heads over, Andy is a valuable part of the Empire team.

In the off season, Andy stays active by being a member of the Tillsonburg synchronized swimming team. He also enjoys the feel and health benefits of a polar dip 🏊‍♂️

We’re lucky to have Andy part of the empire team

Meet the Team: Christina & Katie 👷🏼‍♀️

Say hello to our Sealing Crew - Christina & Katie! You can always find these two with a smile on their faces and ready to get the job done ☀️

They arrive early every morning, ready to go, bringing the perfect combination of patience, precision, and attention to detail to every driveway they seal. They take pride in making sure each job looks great from start to finish 👌🏻

When they’re not out making driveways look their best, you can find them spending quality time with their husbands, baking up something delicious, and singing their little hearts out! 🧁🎶

We’re lucky to have these two hardworking ladies on our crew!

Meet the Team: Quinn 👷‍♂️

A lot of people say the work ethic of the younger generation is gone… but Quinn is here to prove them wrong.

This kid can WORK — and he doesn’t need the bosses standing over him to get it done. In fact, he’s usually the one looking for the next thing to do before anyone even has to ask.

There’s almost always a tool in Quinn’s hand, and if there isn’t… give it 30 seconds. He’ll find one.

He never complains, works harder than most, and is constantly thinking ahead about what needs to be done next. That kind of initiative and work ethic is hard to teach and it makes Quinn a true asset to the Empire team.

He may be young, but he’s got a work ethic that is second to none.

When Quinn isn’t hard at work you can find him competing at competitive hot dog juggling competitions and perfecting his run for Baywatch tryouts !!

We’re lucky to have him on the Empire team !

Meet the Team: Thomas 👷‍♂️

Meet Thomas — one of Empire’s most versatile crew members and the guy you can count on to be there on time, every time. ⏰

Thomas is always ready to jump into whatever the day throws at him. Need a dump truck driver? He’s on it. Need someone in the skid steer? No problem. Need something completely different? Chances are Thomas can handle that too.

He’s the definition of “whatever needs to get done, I’ll do it.” From hauling material to running equipment , line painting and everything in between, Thomas is always willing to jump in and help wherever he’s needed.

When Thomas isn’t blaring Justin Bieber’s “Baby” on his radio as he pulls into work every morning 🎶, you can find him on the hunt for his next garden gnome to add to his already impressive collection.

Reliable, versatile, and a huge fan of Bieber that’s Thomas.

We’re glad to have him on the Empire team !!

👷‍♂️ Meet the Team: Clayton

Meet Clayton — an important part of the Empire crew and one of the guys you’ll find behind the controls of our skidsteer! 🚜

As one of our skidsteer operators, Clayton plays a big role in keeping our paving projects moving. From preparing driveways and moving material to grading, cleanup, and everything in between, he helps keep the job running smoothly and efficiently.

Clayton is always ready to jump in and get the job done. Whether he’s behind the controls or helping out on the ground, he brings a strong work ethic and a willingness to do whatever needs to be done.

Operating equipment takes patience, precision, and a good eye for detail — and Clayton brings all three to the job. When the skidsteer is moving, you know there’s work getting done! 💪

He’s a dependable part of the crew who shows up ready to work, takes pride in what he does, and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty.

A few things you probably didn’t know about Clayton: 👀

🧙‍♂️ When he’s not working, Clayton spends his evenings training to become the first Canadian wizard. His specialty is currently turning coffee into more coffee.

🐌 He also breeds racing snails in his spare time. His top snail, Lightning, is currently undefeated — although races can take up to six business days to complete.

😂 Clayton may be a serious worker, but apparently there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes!

We’re lucky to have Clayton as part of the Empire team! 👊

Meet the Team: Gerry 👷‍♂️

Meet Gerry — New to the Empire crew this year and plays an important part of our finishing team.

Gerry works alongside the crew on the final finishing and detail work of our paving projects, helping ensure each driveway is properly completed and looking its best before we leave the job.

Gerry is always willing to jump in, take on whatever role is needed, and learn something new. He is always the guy to find time to stop you in your tracks to ask if you have plans for the weekend or what you had for dinner. It’s positive attitude like his that make hot days not feel so long.

When Gerry isn’t focused on getting those finishing details just right, he’s busy perfecting his second career as a podcast host to “deep dive with Gerard” as well as training for his gymnos half marathon race in November 🏃‍♂️

He may be new to Empire team but he’s already figured out one of the most important rules around here: show up, work hard and be willing to learn.

We are lucky to have him part of the Empire team !!
