Just a fraction of the things I have made. Mostly this year.

Why be normal anyways?

Make clothes or buy hand made clothes.

I started making this piece a few years ago. It was time to finish it. I didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted, but I still love it.

I didn’t use a pattern and was inspired by a few crochet artists.

Thank you to my dear friend Mary Hindle for the yarn. I decided not to go with the pattern included and make a sack hat instead.

You could also call it a cat hat, but I could also try to modify the corners. Make a few stitches to make the ears more prominent. I could even do eyes.

This was an easy project to make. I like easy. Especially, if I want to create something fast and not have to think much about it.

If you want to make this hat it’s just a rectangle. You fold it in half and sew the sides. I like how half double crochet in the back loops looks, but you could use whatever stitch you like. Loads of tutorials on YouTube too!

Do you want it or maybe one like this but in a different colour? Happy to make you one!

The Thornbury Fall Fair is always the best weekend! So great to see everyone come together to enjoy wrestling, activities, food, drink, music, dancing and competitions.

I finally entered a few things and win a few prizes. Next year I’m entering even more items and so will my family. We got the winning itch.

Can you guess what the antique is that I got First in?

This top was true slow fashion. I started it ages ago and finally finished it.

I wanted it oversized, but it doesn’t drape the way I want it too. I still like it though. It is reversible. Watch the reel again if you missed that.

I didn’t use a pattern, but I was inspired by various crochet artists work. It’s basically two daisy granny squares, with extra rows on both sides of the square to make a rectangle. For the sleeves, I crocheted the length that I liked. Then to make the cuff, I used a smaller hook and I did decrease stitches until it was also the size that I liked. I did one row of half dc for the neck and two rows of dc for the bottom.

Tell me your honest opinion. I’m thinking I need to learn more about sizing. I also think I put too many stitches in the corners and that made it a bit miss shaped. I need to try more patterns.
