Job location: Thompson, Manitoba
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Report to: Heavy Equipment Shop Supervisor
Job Summary
Perform maintenance and repair work to heavy equipment. Repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul, and maintain mobile heavy-duty equipment used in construction.

Shift and Schedule:
• 10-hour shift. Schedule as per HE Shop Supervisor.
• Rotation shifts are available.
Responsibilities & Duties:
• Assemble, dismantle, or reassemble equipment or machinery.
• Inspect machinery or equipment to determine adjustments or repairs needed.
• Able to understand electrical & hydraulic schematics.
• Conduct tests to locate mechanical system malfunction.
• Diagnose mechanical problems in machinery or related structures.
• Maintain or repair industrial or related equipment/machinery.
• Maintain or repair work tools or equipment.
• Align or adjust clearances of mechanical components or parts.
• Adjust production equipment/machinery setup.
• Install equipment or attachments on machinery or related structures.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning or worn mechanical components.
• Lubricate machinery, equipment, or parts.
• Test mechanical products or equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Follows safe work procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education, Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:
• Journeyperson status or equivalent experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to job task plan and organize.
• Ability to problem solve, think critically, and make decisions.
• Heavy lifting required.
• Willingness to learn.
Working Conditions
• Shop and field work required.
• Work in all weather conditions.
