We are offically announcing our pilot project anticipated for this fall.
Our pilot project is the first step in showcasing the future of housing in Northern British Columbia. Designed as a prefabricated, light-steel, net-zero home, it combines superior insulation, airtight construction, and integrated renewable energy solutions. This initiative not only demonstrates our commitment to building climate-resilient, fire-resistant, and mold-resistant homes, but also provides a model for affordable, sustainable housing in Indigenous and remote communities.
The benefits to homeowners and the community are substantial: incredibly low utility bills thanks to net-zero efficiency, minimal maintenance requirements due to the material’s strength and resistance to environmental wear, and significantly reduced home insurance premiums from the non-combustible design and enhanced structural integrity.
Through this project, in 2026, ZED Kyshan Homes will train and employ local workers, with the long-term goal of supporting community sovereignty in housing development. By proving the viability of our system in real-world conditions, this pilot lays the foundation for scaling production and delivering high-performance homes across Canada.
