West-Metric is proud to be awarded the Earthworks contract for the Pembina PRT MGC Optimization project.

This expansion will allow Pembina to increase vessel capacity at the Pembina LPG facility in Prince Rupert, supporting long-term growth and critical energy infrastructure.

Utility installs continue on site of the Kitselas Community Centre.

Culverts being installed around the Kitselas housing development.

There are a lot of benefits in the use of culverts to manage stormwater; mainly containing and directing the flow of water in a more controlled way, but they are also a good method for maximizing the use of a space.

They allow for a smooth and level surface of material to be laid over top, such as for yard space or parking areas to continue over them, uninterrupted.

Walls are up and roofing is underway on the new 10-unit Elders building within the Kitselas housing development.

Now, preparing the building for the rainier months to come, we are installing pipes— tying into the roof— to manage stormwater flow around the structure. 🌧

At West Metric, we've donated our time and experience; working with K5T (https://k5t.ca/) in the development of their new special event space.

The work involved landscaping, on-site cut and fill, bringing in new materials for top dressing, seeding, and the setup of a temporary irrigation system to support the new plant growth.

It brought us an interesting challenge in the beginning, with uneven ground and limited space to operate, but we love a good challenge, and in the end it was well worth it.

The space is looking beautiful.
