The Northwest Seed Library is up and ready-to-go! The seed display case, is just outside the Lounge. Start by filling out a borrowing form and take it to the front desk. Then pick 1 to 3 packs of seeds in total to take home. Only take what you will grow. Help yourself to information about how to grow seeds and links for new gardeners.

Calling all BC Schools! We have three $1,000 grants available to support projects that cultivate food literacy and inspire K–12 students to explore, learn, and grow through hands-on food experiences.

Complete the expression of interest form (5 mins) by March 20th to be considered: www.farmtoschoolbc.ca/eoi-project-funding

Schools will be randomly selected. We encourage all to engage, including Rural, Remote and First Nations schools across the province.

Chat with Terrace's FireSmart Coordinator about FireSmart Plants at The Spotted Horse Farm and Nursery this Friday, June 6 from 1pm to 5pm.

While there are no fire-proof plants, the FireSmart Plant Program identifies plants which are less prone to burning than others. Look for the FireSmart plant tags or stickers on FireSmart plants when you are shopping at Spotted Horse. And this Friday, chat with Kim, the FireSmart Coordinator about what plants would work best for your garden.
