Before and after on a room in a 100-year-old stone farmhouse.
When we opened this room up, the plaster and lath came out and we were down to the original stone walls. We framed the interior and updated the electrical for new integrated pot lights, strategically placed outlets and a chandelier. New windows went in, keeping the deep-set openings and original paneled surrounds that give the house its character.
From there, we added new wide-plank floors, doors and trim to match the style of the home. The walls were finished smooth and painted a deep green.
Same room. Same character. Ready for another 100 years.
