in Westmount) to give patrons a more flexible access for drop off and pick up. Jacques is proud to offer a knives and tools sharpening service to patrons and friends of the Cape Breton Artisan Market at the Spanish River Senior Club. When you need to put a brand new edge on your knives, scissors, or fix a chipped blade of your garden tools, we can help. Sharp tools are not only a pleasure to work with but are also much safer to use. Knives/tools will be done on a “first come-first serve” basis. Items that will not be finished on site during Market hours (10am - 1:30pm) will be done in our home workshop and brought back for delivery the following Saturday. Pricing:

Yesterday met tens of visitors at the NSCC Campus in downtown Sydney Public Market mostly people happy to discover our sharpening service and planning to use it very soon.
Needless to say that "Mister Couteaux" anticipate to be very busy that day and the following days at home completing the unfinished jobs.

Just got the OK to set up "shop" at the Sydney Public Market - NSCC Campus - starting this Saturday Sept. 26th.

Being our first time there, the plan is to do knife sharpening and collect items to be sharpened at home such as gardening tools, woodworking tools i.e. circular saw blades, chisels, planer blades; etc.

Items brought home for sharpening will be returned the following weekend or be available for pick up at home during the week.

Since May/June we were kept busy mostly sharpening garden tools, lawnmower blades and, of course, knives.
Returning customers as well as tens of new people prised our sharpening service in the past few months and made us proud in doing what we do.
Yes, you can drop off your items at anytime here at home - 53 Petersfield Crt in Westmount.. Pick up is usually possible within the following 24 hours or even less.

A warm welcome to the new "followers" of Jacques Couteaux.

Spring has been busy sharpening an assortment of garden tools such as lawnmower blades, loppers, edge shears, pruners and such along with the regular items, knives, circular saw blades and scissors.

Through word-of-mouth, the clientele is building up steadily which leaves me time to enjoy a lively retirement to the best.

Today, Saturday May 23rd, I'm at the Variety Market in Glace Bay held at the Undercurrent Youth Centre on 224 York St, Glace Bay.
I will be sharpening knives only but taking all other items to be done at home where all my equipment is set up.
