This past summer, we completed seasonal planting upgrades at two high-traffic areas of Willowbrook Mall: the storefront of the newly opened Sing Sing restaurant and the North Entrance.
Sing Sing sits where the Courtyard meets the indoor mall, a space that naturally draws people in. With movie nights, sports days and steady foot traffic throughout the summer, the Courtyard has become a local gathering point, making the surrounding landscape an important part of the visitor experience.
For the restaurant storefront, we kept and lightly trimmed the existing ornamental grasses, then added new flowering plants in layers. Lower-growing plants along the sidewalk brought in more seasonal colour and texture.
A thoughtful planting refresh can give high-traffic areas a noticeably different look while making use of what is already established.
