Aiden Wong and Scot Brydon recently attended a business event in Red Lake, Ontario, alongside our valued partners at Shared Spirits.

The event provided a great opportunity for team building, collaboration, and strengthening industry relationships. Following the session, participants enjoyed a round of golf before continuing conversations and making new connections at a networking event hosted the next day with Evolution Mining.

Progress continues at the Midland Wastewater Treatment Centre.

Last week, our Midland team in Ontario completed the mud slab pour at the south end of the building, marking an important milestone as the project moves into footing installation and the next phase of construction.

Thank you to the crew, led by Superintendent Chris Walker and Foreman Glenn MacDougall, for their hard work, attention to detail, and commitment to quality throughout this stage of the project.

This pour also included a unique addition. At the Town’s request, several items, including a few lucky coins, were placed beneath the slab.

The slab also features Chris Walker’s mason’s mark, a tradition he incorporates into each project.

We’re looking forward to the next stages of work as the project continues to progress.

Project Award: East End Waste Water Treatment Plant Settlement Mitigation, Sault Ste. Marie, ON

Scope:

The settlement mitigation strategy requires specialized structural work to stabilize the underlying soils, including deep foundation piling and lightweight fill installation to prevent further settlement of the facility’s Primary Clarifier and Bioreactor structures. This critical infrastructure project will be delivered on an aggressive 8-month schedule, with construction commencing in June 2026.

A milestone moment for the Blind River community.

Industra Construction Corporation was proud to have Pearse Brennan, Superintendent, attend the official groundbreaking ceremony for the Blind River Water Intake and Low Lift Pumping Station Project alongside the Town of Blind River, MPP "Bill" William Rosenberg, TULLOCH, and fellow project partners.

Once complete, this important infrastructure project will connect the community to its new Lake Huron water source, helping improve long-term system reliability while supporting future growth and development in the region.

We’re excited to get underway and work collaboratively with all partners involved as construction progresses.

Project Update – Sparwood WWTP

We’re proud to share that the piling program at our Sparwood project in BC is wrapping up next week.

This phase has come with its share of challenges. The team has navigated tough ground conditions, with pile embedment depths exceeding 50 metres in some areas — a true testament to the expertise, resilience, and commitment on site.

Despite these complexities, we’re pleased to report that the project remains on schedule, and we’re looking forward to moving into the concrete phase this June.

Project Award: Niagara Region Contract 2025-T-037 — Dain City Sewage Pump Station

This project involves major upgrades to the station structure, including process equipment and pumps, building mechanical systems, electrical systems with backup power, control systems, and overall site improvements. The work includes additions, modifications, and demolitions aimed at improving the station’s efficiency and long-term performance.

This is a multi-year project with an estimated duration of 375 working days, accounting for long lead-time equipment such as MCCs, a standby generator, transformer, and pumps.
