In the northern hemisphere, the fall equinox means less sunlight hours and with planetary tilting growth and ripening slow down.

In spite of these climate realities, the optimistic gardener in me is still hopeful that this little eggplant can mature enough to be harvested.

Silly? Maybe.

Unscientific? Nope!

There just might be enough heat and light to get this little guy big enough for harvest. I'll wait a little longer until nature proves otherwise.

That's a gardener's hoping heart.

Frost is the finalizing reality!

How did your gardens do?

Were your gardens able to absorb the water?

Was your landscape designed to slow the runoff?

Did your landscape absorb it all? How long did the water stand?

These are key soil and water questions you should be able to talk about - every gardener and grower talks to themselves! 😉

In this workshop we are going to help you explore your garden soil's texture and learn how to take care of it.

- Bring 2 cups of soil in a sealable jar.
- Learn easy hand tests that every gardener should master.
- Test your knowledge using professional soil analysis tools.
- Connect the ecosystem "dots" that you need in a healthy garden.
