Last week, Century Aluminum Railings welcomed guests from Doman Building Materials to Kelowna for this year’s Century University.

Attendees joined us from across Canada, from Vancouver all the way to Newfoundland, for a few days of hands-on product installation, classroom-style training, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Century plant in Summerland.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper visit without great food, good conversations, and a little entertainment along the way.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s Century University such a success. We’re proud to work alongside partners who are just as invested in learning, growing, and bringing better railing solutions to customers across Canada.

A closer look at Jim McKay’s winning photo submission, and it’s easy to see why this project stood out. 🏆

With more than 1,000 sq. ft. of deck, Jim’s installation showcases the seamless transitional nature of Century Aluminum Railings across the entire space. From glass and pickets to scenic railing and glass privacy walls, every section works seamlessly together while serving a different purpose in each area.

Congratulations again, Jim, and thank you for sharing such a beautiful Century project with us.

We’re pleased to share a positive update from our Summerland facility.

The Evacuation Order for our area has been downgraded to an Evacuation Alert, allowing our team to begin returning to the facility. Crews are now on-site cleaning the plant and carefully assessing our building, equipment, utilities, and operating systems.

Our Customer Service team remains available by phone and email, and we’ll continue to share updates as we work toward resuming normal production and shipping operations.

We’re incredibly grateful for the patience, understanding, and support shown by our customers, partners, and community during this time.

Privacy where it matters most.

This Century Panel Privacy Wall creates a clean, modern backdrop for the hot tub area, adding separation from neighbouring spaces while still keeping the deck feeling open and usable. A simple upgrade that makes the whole outdoor space feel more comfortable, private, and finished.

Thinking about adding privacy to your deck or patio?

08/10/2026

Due to the ongoing wildfire situation and the current Evacuation Order affecting Summerland, our Summerland manufacturing facility is closed until further notice.

The safety of our employees, their families, our community, and emergency personnel remains our first priority. At this time, access to the Summerland facility is restricted, and manufacturing operations will not resume until authorities determine it is safe to do so.

Customers should anticipate temporary delays in production, order processing, shipping, and delivery schedules related to our Summerland operations.

Our Customer Service team remains available by phone and email and will continue to assist customers, answer questions, and provide updates wherever possible.

Importantly, Century Aluminum Railings’ U.S. operations in Springdale, Arkansas are not affected by the Summerland closure and will continue to operate as normal.

Our team is actively monitoring information from official emergency-management and wildfire sources. We will provide further updates as reliable information becomes available and as we learn more about when our Summerland operations can safely resume.

We greatly appreciate the patience, understanding, and support of our customers, suppliers, dealers, and partners.

Stay safe, Summerland.
