Before the day gets busy, there are moments like this.

A beautiful sunrise over our Brudco hydrovac truck in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. Early mornings and changing job sites are all part of the work, but every now and then, the view makes you stop for a second.

Then it’s back to work.

At Brudco, we're in the business of uncovering things. Buried utilities. Hidden infrastructure. The stuff most people never think about until it's exposed.

But every now and then, it's worth uncovering something else. The people behind the work.

The crews who brave the weather. The operators who make difficult work look easy. The clients who trust us. The communities we work in.

Those are the things we're thinking about this Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving from the Brudco team.

Blue skies above. Brudco teamwork below.

Our Manitoba crew is making the most of a perfect day in the field, pulling conduit and keeping the project moving forward. Days like these are a reminder that great work starts with great people.

Way to go, team!

The first hole is in the ground!

Our work is officially underway in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, with the hydrovac team safely excavating and preparing the way for the next phase of the project. Every successful project starts with a solid foundation, and that's exactly what this first excavation represents, safe, clean, precise.

Looking forward to sharing more progress as the work continues.

Every day, our crews work on the traditional lands of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples across Western Canada. Today, we pause to honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and the generations affected by this history.

As a certified Indigenous member-owned business, we recognize the importance of carrying forward the values of respect, community, and relationship building in everything we do.

Every Child Matters.

From Alberta to Manitoba, the next adventure begins. Our trailers were loaded, the equipment secured, and the crews hit the road heading east for another exciting project.

Every kilometre travelled represents our commitment to showing up where our clients need us and delivering quality work safely and efficiently. From planning and logistics to boots on the ground, every successful project starts with preparation.

Out of Sight, Never Out of Control.

What you can't see is often the most impressive part of the job. As the drill head travels beneath the creek, our locator tracks its position from the opposite bank, providing continuous guidance and real-time data to keep the bore exactly on course. It's a coordinated effort that turns a complex underground crossing into a successful installation.

When obstacles stand in the way, we find a path through them.

Crossing Challenges, Delivering Solutions

Our team recently mobilized to the Gift Lake Métis Settlement to complete a specialized drill shot crossing beneath a local creek. Projects like these require careful planning, precise ex*****on, and a strong focus on environmental stewardship before the first drill rod ever enters the ground.

These photos capture the setup phase, where our crew prepared the site and equipment for the work ahead.

Stay tuned for Part 2, where we'll take you closer to the action and showcase the drilling operation taking place beneath the creek.

Not every project comes with a skyline view. Sometimes the day's work comes with lakefront scenery, towering trees, and a few extra challenges that only come with working in remote and residential environments.

At Brudco, our crews bring the same expertise, precision, and commitment to every project, whether we're working in densely developed areas or tucked away in some of Alberta's most beautiful surroundings. No matter the setting, our focus remains the same: delivering quality installations safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption.

Some offices just happen to have a better view than others.
