Tree roots are one of the most common causes of sewer line damage. Over time, roots can work their way into small openings in a pipe and continue expanding, eventually leading to blockages, breaks and recurring sewer issues.
This repair involved removing the damaged section and installing new pipe to restore proper flow underground.

Tired of mowing around - or tripping over - a raised water shutoff?

In many cases, they can be lowered closer to grade for a cleaner look and easier lawn maintenance.

Every property is different, and methods can vary depending on the setup - including possible no-dig options in some situations. A professional assessment IS REQUIRED, as factors like the type of shutoff, service line condition, depth and required length adjustments all need to be properly evaluated. Attempting this work yourself can result in damaged valves, leaks or damage to the water service line.

If this is you, give us a call. We can help.

Sink not draining?
Before you call in the professionals, try this quick check.
It might save you time… And money. 💰

Another contractor hit a buried pipe line during construction, leaving a slow leak running for months. We were called in to clear the blockage and repair the broken pipe.

It’s bad enough when this happens to a pipe… but if it were a gas or buried electrical line, the outcome could have been catastrophic.

ALWAYS GET A LOCATE DONE BEFORE YOU DIG!
Safety first… even small jobs can hide big problems underground.

Cats can be great companions… but it’s best not to rely on them for drain maintenance.

Did you know that hair is one of the most common causes of slow drains and backups?
It doesn’t just wash away - it binds with soap and buildup inside your pipes and creates clogs over time.

What to know:
- Hair + soap = buildup
- It traps other debris and keeps growing
- Slow drains are usually the first warning sign
- It won’t fix itself

How to prevent it:
✔️ Use a drain catcher
✔️ Clean it regularly
✔️ Don’t ignore slow drains

If your drain is already slowing down, it’s better to deal with it early before it turns into a bigger problem.

👇 5 Things You Need to Know to Avoid a Sewer Backup

1. 🚿 Slow drains are an early warning sign
If your sink, shower or toilet is draining slowly or gurgling, your sewer may already be starting to clog. It doesn’t fix itself. It builds until it backs up.

2. 🧻 “Flushable” wipes & feminine hygiene products don’t break down
Wipes (even the ones labeled “flushable”) and hygiene products don’t dissolve like toilet paper. They catch on debris and create blockages fast. We pull these out all the time. And never, NEVER flush condoms.

3. 🛢️Grease builds up over time
Pouring grease down the drain once might not cause an issue… but it doesn’t go away. It sticks to your pipes and builds up, layer by layer, until it eventually blocks the line. You’re much better off throwing some corn starch in it, letting it cool and tossing it in the garbage.

4. 🌳 Tree roots will find your sewer line
The bigger and more established the tree, the farther the roots reach… And your sewer line is the path of least resistance. If roots have gotten into your line once, they will come back. Unless the pipe is fully replaced, you’ll likely need regular (often annual) maintenance.

5. 📺 An ounce of prevention is significantly less costly than a pound of cure
Cracks, build up and root intrusions progress over time. A camera inspection can catch issues early, before they turn into a full backup. A camera inspection every few years can save you a lot of hassle.

Water shouldn’t come up through the pavement. When it does, it’s often a sign of a broken pipe below the surface.

What should you watch for?
- Water bubbling or pooling with no obvious source
- Sudden wet spots in dry weather
- Cracks that start leaking or shifting pavement

What should you do?
- On the road or sidewalk? -> call the city
- On your property? -> call a sewer & drain company

Catching it early can prevent major damage (and a much bigger repair bill).
