So this is the big day.
The day we all have been waiting for
Haye’s treatments are over!
He rang the bell after his last radiation treatment
It was a bit emotional as we all carry forward with continued fears. But emotional because this is behind us. No more five day hospital stays. No more chemo. No more radiation. No more being put out for all these procedures on a regular basis. No more going to the play room that has pretend hospital equipment in it to get the cancer kids used to being poked and prodded. This life is over. We hope not over just for now, but going forward into the future. PET SCANS will still be essential though to making sure there is no reoccurrence of this terrible disease
I want to take this moment to thank absolutely everyone for all the support. The many texts, messages, cards. All the monetary support not only for the kids but also for me in my travels back and forth. We had beautiful quilts made for us. Meals made. Toys gifted. Elmos offered. We have had alot of emotional support, different ones cleaning the kids’ house, giving gift cards for food or gas. Floral arrangements. Fundraisers which took alot of effort from many many amazing people. Our community has been amazing
For all this we are thankful
Thank you for the love and compassion on such great levels. To everyone who has loved us and helped us and supported us
Thanks from all the Bennett family. Thank you from the bottom of hearts
Now if we can tame our fear towards future pet scans and just live on the daily. One day at a time
Today we love largely
