BACK TO SCHOOL = BACK TO ROUTINE!

Clearview Public Schools are starting again this week, and it’s a good time for all of us to get back into some important safety habits.

🚗 FIRST AND FOREMOST — DRIVE SAFE!
School zones are busy, kids can be excited and distracted, and sometimes they aren’t watching as carefully as they should. Slow down, obey posted school zone limits and hours, watch for children and pedestrians, and remember—never pass a school bus when its red lights are flashing and stop arm is extended. Our kids are counting on us to help get them to and from school safely. 💚

And while they’re busy studying, making new friends and sharing their days, remind them of a few simple electrical safety checks that can help keep your home safe this school year:

🔌 Unplug chargers when not in use to save energy and reduce fire risk.
💡 Check cords for damage — frayed, cracked or damaged cords can be dangerous.
🔥 Keep heaters & electronics clear — give them plenty of space to stay cool and help prevent fires.
⚡ Don’t overload power bars — too many plugs can cause overheating.

"I recently (July 2026) installed 6KW solar panels on my 18 month old newly built house. I didn’t research market and am checking the price. My price shouldn’t be more than $20k, but I am going to pay almost $28.5K.

Unfortunately, we hear comments such as this one often. Other complaints have also been brought up such as not owning your solar panels for 20 years and then having to buy them back, improper installs, and roofs not being repaired before panels are placed.

Your solar PV system is an investment, make sure you know the FACTS before signing.

💫confirm the credentials of the company and look for reviews on your own (don't just take their word for it)

If you have already signed a contract and change your mind for any reason, consumer protection laws provide a cooling-off period. For 10 days after you receive a copy of the signed contract, you may cancel for any reason. You do not need to explain why. And if the salesman is not licensed, this period can extend for up to one year.

June saw high amounts of rain this year with the beginning of July seeing large thunderstorms producing damaging hail in our area. One of our clients' homes was victim to the destructive damage from the most recent hail and at our request shared images of the damages. They also shared that their ground mount solar PV system did not receive any damage from this hail proving the strength of the modules. Further, they shared that their solar production, even through the rainy month of June, continued to net them a profit on their electricity bills. This goes to show that even in the dreariest of climates, Solar PV is still a great option to power your home.

🎉This weekend is full of celebration!🎉

👩‍🎓Our youngest graduates from high school and we couldn't be more proud of her and all of our "adopted" girls! 🥰Their smiles, laughter, and love have filled our home for the past few years with so much extra joy, and we know they will continue to be a part of our family. 🩺 Kaleigh will be moving on to continue her studies into the Veterinarian field with a final goal of becoming a 🐘zookeeper.🐅We could not be more proud of the young woman she has already become and can't wait to see what comes next! 💕

🎈Saturday also marks the 85th birthday of the man we call Dad! Glen is well known in the community as a hard working, family man who did what needed to be done no matter what. We are happy to be able to celebrate another milestone with him and of course, we can't wait to eat some cake! 🎂

👩‍❤️‍👨Lastly, on Sunday, we get to celebrate all the men in our life that go above and beyond what being a father truly means. These men have taught us, sheltered us, and helped to make us the people we are today. Without their courage and strength, their guidance and unwavering commitment (also know as stubbornness!), we would not have the courage and determination (also known as stubbornness!) to continue to do the things we do. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! We love you Matthew, Don and Glen! ❤️

🎉CONGRATULATIONS!!! 🎉

For 10 years, we have built Sirrom Wiring and Electrical Services Ltd. from the ground up; starting as a part time operation to now a full time company hosting three employees and growing! We are ever so grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way and continue to support us as we live our dream serving the central Alberta region with their electrical needs!
