Was fun laying the rock. The finished tribute is well done - good job.
We just need a plaque on the bench to complete this beautiful space to sit and visit with friends but today we want to send out a huge thank you to the Mailer Family for making a donation toward the Legacy Project in memory of Bryce & Verna Mailer ❤️
Bryce and Verna Mailer, as newlyweds, moved to the Porter ranch south of Gadsby in 1950. There they raised their family; Bev, Robyn, Rod, Byron, Karen, Lewis, Maureen, and John. The family growing up was actively involved in gymkhana and 4-H. In later years, team roping and other rodeo activities were enjoyed. Cattle, horses and haying were a major part of their lives.
Bryce and Verna enjoyed being part of the community and always willing to help out. They operated Verna's Western Wear for several years in Stettler. For many years, Verna enjoyed travelling all over Central Alberta judging handicrafts at various fairs. Her knowledge and expertise was appreciated and sought out. The Mailer home was always open and welcoming...from coffee with friends and neighbours to family celebrations and team roping jackpots.
