I've dropped it off at StFX Art Gallery and signed the agreement so I'm good to share! Here is the painting they selected for the exhibit, Lockstep, along with their display card. Not only do I receive a generous honorarium for display but I can also sell it through the exhibit. Chickens, you guys, chickens ❤️

It's been busy! I took a little break after the Handsome Max commission for life, gardening and a reset. In the meantime,
-one of my paintings won a spot in the juried St. FX competition 50/50 Exhibition. I will share the details once I've dropped it off and signed the letter of agreement but spoiler alert, chickens. This is the biggest art-y thing I've done, for certain.
-I still don't understand how this happened, but someone from PNI/ Saltwire network wanted to interview me for a "Meet the Maker" provincial article - I will be sure to share that once it is published.
-The New Glasgow Farmers Market, the best market ever, accepted me as a vendor! I can only do a few per year as I'm slow, but my first one is July 18. More to come.

It's been busy for me! My lovely new friends at The Baked Beaver Bakery (thank you Creative Pictou County for the introduction!) have started showing my work on their Art Wall. Within an hour of hanging three last week one sold (a sweet little chickadee) and yesterday a bumblebee sold. I'm off today to stock them up with more!

I'm new to this, and I have a very busy day job, but this means absolutely everything to me. The validation of a complete stranger wanting something I made for their home is an amazing feeling.

In the meantime, a few more to share destined for Flourish After Dark next weekend. Including another chickadee 🩷
