We are hiring a Project Coordinator/Estimator!

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assist & coordinate estimates for a variety of Heavy Construction projects.
-Review & Analyze Bid Packages.
-Communicate with Multiple teams to clarify schedules & contract deals.
-Communicate with internal teams & project requirements.
-Calculate equipment and labour rates.
-Create & Maintain inventory & supplied material.
-Assist in monthly progress claims.
-Assist senior estimator & PM’s with various tasks.

CHARACTERISTICS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
-Holds themself to a high level of accountability.
-Has demonstrated experience in civil construction.
-Has good verbal and written communication skills.
-Has the ability to build & maintain relations with team members.
-Has the ability to read site plans.
-Holds a valid CLASS 5 drivers license.
-Ability to work in MS Office, including Excel is a MUST
-Experience in GPS Tech for Civil Construction is an asset.

Friesen Hauling & Excavating is a third-generation family owned and operated contractor in southeastern Manitoba. We provide our clients with complete site development, including site services, earth work, demolition, aggregates, trucking, and of course, excavation.

We’re looking for a Surveyor to support our Lead Estimator in preparing estimates and managing a variety of civil construction projects. The right candidate will be highly motivated, optimistic, energetic, and will be someone who thrives in a team environment.

Requirements: class 5 driver’s license; Trimble Business Centre, Insite, MS Office, Excel, and drafting program proficiency; good verbal and written communication skills; civil construction experience; proven ability to build and maintain relationships with site crews, suppliers, and subcontractors; minimum 2 years experience on-field & in-office; experience with surveying, civil engineering, and 3D modeling. CET certification considered an asset.
