Back in September 2025, Gilmore Tree Service was contacted to remove a large dangerous tree. The base of the tree had broken, causing it to lean over the customer's camp into a pine tree.

When we arrived, we assessed the situation and followed up with the necessary steps to safely remove the spruce tree. Using mechanical advantage and two perfect rigging points, we were able to control and lower this tree down with confidence.

The feeling of being able to take this tree down was indescribable. As an arborist, it's hard to explain how great it makes me feel to accomplish a task like this. What a job completed by Gilmore Tree Service!

This 266 Husqvarna chainsaw was my grandfather. He gave it to me before he passed away. This beast was a very popular chainsaw when it came out in 1981. It is a great saw for bucking up wood. It has 67ccm it just burns through the hard wood. I was so happy to bring this out from retirement and put a tank through! It still works great.

Good morning folks. I’ve been wanting to post this for a while but haven’t had the time until today.

Gilmore tree service was happy to remove this willow tree. There were several broken branches, decaying where the tree grew together known as inosculation. The willow tree has weak wood from the trunk to the twigs, & grows too fast for most locations. The tree was towering over the customer’s garage. It was a big concern. I climbed the tree & used multiple techniques to remove this tree safely & efficiently. Thanks to my team for the assistance from the ground. Good groundsmen make a big difference in the tree climbing world.

I wanted to post the before & after pictures of a job that my team completed this past weekend. This customer was concerned about the major split in the trunk. He kept the tree as long as he could. But the weather was getting into the split causing the inside of the trunk to decay. Discoloured, lightweight, soft, spongy, stringy, crumbly, or powdery heart decay. This made the customer very uncomfortable to have this tree so close to his house & power lines. He waited to see the fall leaves one more time, then gave Gilmore Tree Service a call to get the tree removed safely with a great clean up. Customer was very impressed with the service.
