It was a blessing to get a break from the freezing cold as today we installed a generlink meter hookup on our customers home! This is a great and affordable way to have backup power in the case of an emergency especially if you aren’t ready to commit big money into a stand by generator system! We wanted to share a massive project we completed which actually was the very first job we tackled when we established in February of 2025.
We were fortunate enough to have our good friends at Avcontrols out of Lucan hand us this one.
All of the equipment you see in this video was located at a plant in Toronto, this plant sold and shut down production, with the selling of the buisness, all equipment was to be sold or scrapped. Our new customer bought this pressline, my job was to unwire all equipment in the factory that was closing, keep ahead of the mechical guys all while keeping each press organized with labeling as these press towers got disassembled and reassembled. Once the tear down was complete we waited for the mechanical guys to install the press line at the new plant and we started wiring everything back into their original home. This job came with quite a few head scratches and long days, working with QI Press Controls in the Netherlands to remote in and get our camera registration all programmed and working great. This press also has a clutching control system to pull in or out the E-stop circuits and pneumatics in each press tower, this allows our customer to continue operations on certain towers if there is a faulty E-stop button, or bad solinoids preventing the pneumatics to operate properly until a technician can be on site to rectify the issue! The clutch system also tells our QI system which press is locked in and which cameras should start searching for registration marks. Start to finish this project took us roughly 8 months to complete. This project was a fun and challenging one! We designed and built a custom control panel for a hog farm for their feed mill. This panel will control a 12.5 HP 1 phase motor, two 2HP 3 phase motors powered by Techtop single phase in 3 phase out VFD's with 2 potentiometers on the door to control how fast or slow we send feed into the mixing bin. We also run a 3HP motor and a 1.5HP motor. A 200A fused disconnect with AJT125A fuses will power this one! While not only did we have to make it work with just the motors we are running to the new system, we have to integrate into an existing cabinet feeding 7 additional motors for sequencing. There are high and low limits to start and shut off the mill, alarm signaling to the agri alert to call the farmer if there are any Mill faults and multiple safety switches that will shut the system down if a door had to be left open for safety purposes, you can never be too safe. We still need to add the SCR rating plate to the cabinet door and make labels for all the pilot lights and selector switches on the door but we needed confirmation from the farmer on what each motor should be called so it makes sense to them. We now have this cabinet on site and will have final pictures in the coming weeks of this cabinet all labeled and ESA inspected after commissioning, we just couldn't wait to share pictures of this one.

Since our original post on our new page we have been fortunate to have been super busy with a couple projects we have done! We are excited to share photos of both projects. We will be doing 2 separate posts, one for each project. The first project was a fun one, we got to work with our good friend Steve Faber which involved the tear down and construction of a new second story deck. This deck was built with a complete under deck drainage system so our costumer could enjoy a nice cup of coffee under their covered deck with the comfort of staying dry even if it's raining. It is always nice to have a change from our everyday electrical.
