It's the Spring cleaning time of year - good time to share this post again! This is an important read for mini split owners!

Mini split deep cleaning - beware!

We've posted about this before, but it seems to be coming up a lot lately.
Mini split deep cleanings should NOT be performed by third party / non-certfified HVAC companies.
We have received so many services requests from customers who have issues after having one of these companies deep clean their system.

Some things to keep in mind:

- Any damage caused by improper cleaning techniques would not be covered under the system's warranty.

- A mini split should NEVER be steam cleaned, as it interferes with the electronics. This is easy to determine because moisture ends up in compartments that are not meant to take any moisture. This causes circuit board corrosion and other moisture indicators.
Cleanings should only be done by using a low pressure type washer system with directional water flow.

- There are several companies advertising mini split deep cleans. While the prices might be enticing, it's extremely important to ensure the person doing any work on your heat pump is a certified HVAC/R technician.

Heat pumps are big investments that you researched and put thought into. To prolong its life and efficiency and ensure it's being maintained and serviced properly this is not a shortcut you should take.

We offer deep cleanings, performed by certified technicians. Our deep cleanings are done by using an effective cleaning solution to clean away any dirt, debris, etc. It's not a lengthy or messy process and you're left knowing your system is fresh and clean.

How often do we hear "all I know how to do is turn it up or down" or "my partner usually deals with it.. i haven't got a clue!"
