Fire Dampers are a life safety device, as such The National Fire Code-2019 Alberta Edition and NFPA 80 requires a visual inspection of fire dampers, smoke dampers and combination fire/smoke dampers. Code requires an inspection not less than every 12 months, with operation testing completed every 4 years. Fire damper inspections by a certified air balancer will keep your building safe and code compliant.
