At just 17 years old, Dylan Hinkel has proven to have a natural ability to operate equipment, from our smallest to now our biggest loader. He’s shown great interest in advancing his skills at The Black Dirt Company; he has worked hard to learn the wide range of tasks in our Yard, beginning at what he hates being referred to as Pail Boy (which is actually Labourer 😜), to Yard Attendant, and he keeps wanting more 💪

We’re proud of Mr. Dirt Junior’s path, because it’s not mom and dad that are paving the way… we may have opened the door… but it is him who is creating his own path, from earning the respect of his supervisors and coworkers, and most importantly, his dad.

When you are raised in a family who runs a business, it’s not all roses and champagne. It’s a different and sometimes challenging childhood for kids to grow up in. So for Dylan to choose to work in his family business, and strive to succeed and earn his own stripes, all we can say is, we are proud ❤️🖤🤍

We’re not sure where Dylan’s future is headed, but it’s looking like it’s only up from here 😍
