It’s about efficiency and safety. These boilers will give all they got and they work as hard as you need them too but like anything. Routine maintenance and cleaning is a must to maintain that reliability and safety.

Condensation neutralizer plugged up. Maintenance time!
Keeps the hard particles out of the drainage system and avoids breakdown of the sanitary lines.
Plugged neutralizers will back up to the unit its serving and cause pre-mature failure or shutdown unless an overflow is incorporated in to it. In this particular system the boiler has an auto s**t off switch that senses build up of condensation and puts the boiler in standby mode.
