Job Title: Landscape Construction Crew Member
Location: Smiths Falls Ontario, Canada
Employment Type: Full-time, Seasonal (with potential for winter snow operations)
Compensation: [$21.00 – $25.00/hour, depending on experience]
About the Role
Join our landscape installation team building high-end residential and commercial outdoor spaces across Ontario. You will work closely with experienced crew leads on site prep, stone installation, and structural landscape builds.
Key Responsibilities
Install hardscape features, including interlocking stone patios, segmental retaining walls, walkways, garden steps, and borders.
Safely operate handheld tools and small construction equipment, including plate compactors, demo saws, laser levels, and wheelbarrows.
Execute ground prep work: manual excavation, grading, spreading gravel/sand, and operating compactors to ensure solid base preparation.
Load, unload, and stage bulk materials (aggregates, pavers, natural stone) across job sites efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized job site and adhere to Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) guidelines at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
Strong physical stamina, with the ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced crew environment.
Valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license with dependable transportation to the shop/yard (preferred).
Previous experience in hardscaping, masonry, or general construction is an asset, but motivated candidates willing to learn are encouraged to apply.
CSA-approved steel-toe boots required from day one.
